The candidates will take the stage in the Savoy du Métropolis and eventually in L’Astral in the Maison du Festival Rio Tinto Alcan on September 29 and 30 to amaze the crowd and earn the chance to take home thousands of dollars in prizes. Of course, the public is invited to come out and encourage them in large numbers; admission is free, with no ticket required.

The Montreal Guitar Grand Prix was established to promote the next generation and offer our young talents the opportunity to gain onstage experience. Thousands of dollars in prizes are awarded to the winners, thanks to the collaboration of Godin Guitars, Archambault, Marshall, DigiTech, Samson, Vox, Korg, Gator, as well as the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal.
The MGGP, presented as part of the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, is proud to participate in Journées de la culture and offer our musicians a platform to develop and showcase their art.
