added to the program
Montreal, Wednesday, March 23, 2016 — We’ve added one new concert to the program of the Jazz All-Year Round series presented by TD: French group Caravan Palace! Tickets for the concert are already on sale.
Caravan Palace — May 18, 8 p.m., Métropolis — Three years after burning down Club Soda during the Festival, the world’s hottest electro-swing group brings the fire to Métropolis with a 3rd album, the enigmatic <I°_°I>, as festive and colourful as its predecessors. In keeping with their sterling reputation, the Parisian combo is ready to serve up its irresistible cocktail of dance-mad grooves, supervoltage energy and contagious stage presence. We’ll meet you on the dancefloor! A co-production with evenko and Greenland.
We also recommend:
Pokey LaFarge — April 1, 8 p.m., Corona Theatre — Pokey LaFarge tosses country, blues, swing, early jazz and good ol’ rock’n’roll in the blender and pours out a genuine creative tour de force: a musical fusion right out of another era, sprinkled with a touch of the madcap and a shot of good cheer. With 7 albums to his credit including last year’s Something in the Water, the St. Louis native rolls into Corona Theatre for an evening that promises to be extraordinary. A co-presentation with evenko.

A non-profit organization, the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal is pursuing its mission of disseminating and developing jazz and its musical cousins for the 15th year in a row, by reinvesting its potential surpluses in the presentation of special concerts at its Jazz All-Year Round series presented by TD. With support from Canadian Heritage, it can thus offer Montrealers and visitors to the city the chance to experience the rhythms of jazz all-year round! The Festival also highlights the support of the Maison du Festival, official host of the Jazz All-Year Round series presented by TD, as well as the support of Bell and the Hyatt Regency Montréal, partner and official hotel of the series, respectively.
