19th edition of MONTRÉAL EN LUMIÈRE
Montreal, Wednesday, September 27, 2017 — As we await the kick-off to the 19th edition of MONTRÉAL EN LUMIÈRE, presented in collaboration with Bell from February 22 to March 4, 2018, fans can bolster their patience with this early glimpse of the program! Grooving from flamenco to vocal jazz, with stopovers in chanson, pop and folk, six new concerts go on sale this Friday, September 29 at noon (exclusive presale for Spectra Newsletter subscribers begins Thursday, September 28 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.), in addition to the Isabelle Boulay concert previously announced, already on sale.

One of the global leaders in flamenco dance, the illustrious Eva Yerbabuena returns for a new flamboyant showcase of her artistry. Renowned for her deeply expressive and personal approach to flamenco, as well as her technical perfection, the Spanish artist presents her new show, AY!

Stunning American jazz singer Stacey Kent has won over a major audience with her crystalline voice and a sparkling discography awarded a number of gold records. She’s back with her latest release, due this fall, a magnificent, dazzling fusion of harmony, beauty and intensity.

Following on the heels of her dazzling tribute to Serge Reggiani, Isabelle Boulay makes her thrilling return to the stage with a set of magnificent songs from the grandest songsmiths. A great interpretive singer, her singular voice beguiles us anew as she delivers her greatest hits along with the wonderful songs from her latest album.

Random Recipe wear the name well. A fine mixture of human warmth, originality and international musical inspiration, the Montreal outfit presents a hybrid sound unique in its genre, with an absolute lack of pretension enhancing their already fascinating performances.

Coco Méliès returns with The Riddle, a richly atmospheric new album. Defying all labels, the musical world of Coco Méliès revels in subtle nuances and contrasts. Renowned for their distinctive vocal harmonies and refined folk, the once again presents a show both raw and luminous.

Once her first single, Habit, racked up one million listens on Spotify, the record labels came calling: she would go on to sign with Universal. She’s finally here to present her folk-soul material, pouring her rich voice into songs steeped in maturity. A diamond in the rough, with a disarming authenticity.
