Montréal, Wednesday, October 3, 2018 — The Festival International de Jazz de Montréal presented by TD Bank Group in collaboration with Rio Tinto is delighted to unveil the first name from the program of its 40th edition, which will be held from June 27 to July 6, 2019. It’s none other than native son and international star Bobby Bazini, headlining MTELUS, June 29, 8:30 p.m. with a concert that’s sure to be a stirring emotional experience. Tickets go on sale this Friday, October 5 at 10 a.m. (exclusive pre-sale for Newsletter subscribers from 10 a.m. Thursday to 10 a.m. Friday).
A genuinely gifted artist, Bobby Bazini made his mark with his very first album Better in Time, highly acclaimed by critics and powered by the smash radio hit I Wonder. Since that blockbuster debut, the Laurentians native has racked up hits including C’est La Vie, winning the SOCAN No. 1 Song Award.
Now, after a long successful world tour, the singer-guitarist returns home with a 4th album, deeply rooted in the musical universe that is his brand, boasting unique songs inspired by the blues, soul, folk and jazz and his suave, spellbinding voice.
