The Rendez-vous Loto-Québec
Montreal, Wednesday, May 21, 2014 — For its major mid-point event, the 35th edition of the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, presented by TD in collaboration with Rio Tinto Alcan, invites Festival fans to a high-voltage party starring a group guaranteed to turn the Place des Festivals upside-down and inside-out: Vintage Trouble. This California quartet was born to set the stage ablaze, and has rolled through Europe, where their success has spread like wildfire. The quartet of Ty Taylor (vocals)—a born live-wire performer!—Nalle Colt (guitar), Richard Danielson (drums) and Rick Barrio Dill (bass) head to the Festival for the first time to rock the TD Stage during the Rendez-vous Loto-Québec, Tuesday, July 1 at 9:30 p.m. (Les Performances TD series).
The name of this Los Angeles quartet says it all: revivalists of an era when the sexy soul of Wilson Pickett and James Brown held sway, Vintage Trouble live on the edge in every performance, playing without a safety net—it’s no surprise that the Rolling Stones and The Who recruited them to play outdoors with them last summer… With an explosive album, The Bomb Shelter Sessions, that hits like a musical weapon of mass seduction, this is truly a group that must be experienced live!
